Edo state government has asked all schools in Edo state to ensure that they follow the preventive measures against COVID-19 as they resume examination classes today (Monday).
Only students in SS3, who have enrolled for the WASSCE and schools who have enrolled for the NECO Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), are to re-open on Monday the 10th of August, 2020.
The statement was said on Sunday during a meeting with school principals and chief inspectors with the Ministry of Education. The Commissioner for Education, Jimoh Ijegbai, said the government was devoted to ensuring that all students, who were resuming, were safe from the coronavirus disease.
